Quilt Preparation & Shipping

Your quilt is treasured by you and us. Please follow the preparation instructions below to insure that your quilt top gets to us safely and securely:

Press all seams
Trim all threads
Stay stitch any pieced borders/edges
If you plan to have curved corners on your quilt, please wait to cut the curves after longarm machine quilting is completed
Backing and batting needs to be 4” – 6” larger on all sides than your quilt top. This is necessary for pinning and clamping on the machine as well as the allowance needed for a 2% - 10% shrinkage that can occur in quilting
If you are using your own backing and batting, press and seam backing, fold gently and place on top of quilt
If backing is seamed, please identify where you want the seam to fall, center-across or center down
Place a card with your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and any instructions along with your check on the very top of your quilt
Wrap in plastic or put into a plastic bag for protection
Place in medium density corrugated box and seal securely
