Your quilt is treasured by you and us. Please follow the preparation instructions below to insure that your quilt top gets to us safely and securely:
Press all seams |
Trim all threads |
Stay stitch any pieced borders/edges |
If you plan to have curved corners on your quilt, please wait to cut the curves after longarm machine quilting is completed |
Backing and batting needs to be 4” – 6” larger on all sides than your quilt top. This is necessary for pinning and clamping on the machine as well as the allowance needed for a 2% - 10% shrinkage that can occur in quilting |
If you are using your own backing and batting, press and seam backing, fold
gently and place on top of quilt |
If backing is seamed, please identify where you want the seam to fall, center-across or center down |
Place a card with your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and any instructions along with your check on the very top of your quilt |
Wrap in plastic or put into a plastic bag for protection |
Place in medium density corrugated box and seal securely |
Always insure your quilt when shipping. We will also insure it when shipping your quilt back to you |
